Senator Kate Lundy to speak at the official opening of the auIGF
The auIGF Organising Committee are pleased to announce that Senator the Honourable Kate Lundy, Minister for Sport, Minister for Multicultural Affairs and Minister Assisting for Industry and Innovation will be speaking at the Australian Internet Governance Forum (auIGF) during its opening session.
Senator Lundy is a current member of the Joint Standing Committee of Cybersafety and on the Senate Select Committee on the National Broadband Network, among others.
She has a long track record in Internet advocacy, promoting online innovation and strong governance. In 2010 Senator Lundy was named the most influential person changing the world of Internet and politics, and accepted the award at the World eDemocracy Forum in France.
She has led the way in open government and community engagement, spearheading Gov 2.0 initiatives such as her Public Sphere events which facilitate online public collaboration on policy development.
